Justin J. Rhodes is originally from Wichita Falls, Texas, where he spent his summers in the 1980s and early 1990s attending Camp Graham Ball. Run by the Boys & Girls Clubs of Wichita Falls, this camp was his summer home from 1982 to 1994. The lifelong friendships and unforgettable memories made during those years heavily inspired his debut novel, Camp Jaie Reau and The Sugan Arid.

Beyond his writing, Justin is a retired veteran of the United States Air Force. He currently lives in Michigan, where he coaches junior varsity girls' basketball. He plans to continue writing and transform his first novel into a series based on his beloved camp experiences.
